Emergency Information

The Yeshiva formulates an independent policy on school closings, delayed openings and early dismissals. We do not follow the decisions of the Montgomery County Public Schools. We will inform you of weather-related schedule changes via WTOP (103.5 FM) via school’s voice mail system, and our parent e-mail group.  Information may also be posted on this website.

The Yeshiva also maintains a separate “Student Activities line” to inform parents about changes in rehearsals or activity schedules, expected return times from field trips, etc.

SNOW EMERGENCY LINES:

GIRLS: 301-962-5111, option 4
BOYS:  301-649-7077, option 4

FIELD TRIP and STUDENT ACTIVITIES LINES:

GIRLS: 301-962-5111, option 5
BOYS: 301-649-7077, option 5

In the event of an unplanned early dismissal, we will post the details on this line as soon as a decision is made.  We will also do our best to contact as many parents as possible. You can help this process by calling only the information line - not the school office - so that the staff is free to make outgoing calls.

DELAYED OPENINGS:

When school opens late for weather-related or other reasons, girls should daven and eat breakfast at home.   Boys should follow the directions on the recorded announcement regarding Shacharis and breakfast.

At the BOYS SCHOOL, classes will meet according to the regular schedule, beginning at the late arrival time determined for that day.

At the GIRLS SCHOOL, all morning classes will meet on the abbreviated schedule below, starting at 10:00, but without the mid-morning break.

Period I     10:00 – 10:35
Period II    10:40 – 11:15
Period III   11:20 – 11:55
Period IV   12:00 – 12:35
Lunch        12:35 -- 1:10

After lunch, girls’ classes will continue according to the regular daily schedule.
