Hebrew Language

Girls are required to take Hebrew language in grades 7-12. All levels of Hebrew Language in the Yeshiva stress the dual components of grammar and literature. The Middle School concentrates on the development of a working vocabulary in conversational Hebrew. The verb and its conjugation, sentence development and composition are all stressed.

The emphasis at the high school level is on classical as well as modern Hebrew literature. Extensive reading and writing both in and out of class are necessary components of this course. Complex verb forms are stressed in grammar. Conversational Hebrew and Israeli publications are utilized throughout the program.
